MENTAL HEALTH

Hey! I'm Rob, the founder of Ancientarian Nutrition.

I am a Certified Nutritionist with an emphasis in functional clinical nutrition and have advanced certifications in digestive health and nutritional therapy. I also work in the fields of weight management and weight cut procedures for combat sport athletes with a total of 20 years of experience in health & wellness.

I received a Degree in Radiology of Science back in 2006, and had the pleasure to work at both clinical and hospital settings in different modalities as a Radiology Technologist (M.R) (R.T) (C.T) (ARRT). After 20 years working in the medical field, I decided to retire and pursue my passion full time which is truly to educate, coach and assist people with the resources, knowledge and lifestyle to truly transform their health with the main component focused on gut health.

Now, I've been blessed to be working with clients all over the world, from the average person all the way to the professional performance based athlete, customizing specific solutions to their needs. I would love to assist you on this journey and help you achieve optimal wellness!

EPIGENETICS

This is the study of heritable changes in gene function that occur without altering the DNA sequence. Factors such as stress levels, sleep patterns, and nutrition play a crucial role in regulating these changes, either promoting inflammation that negatively impacts health or enhancing antioxidant production, which supports immune function and overall well-being. By making conscious lifestyle choices, individuals can influence their genetic expression to optimize long-term health and performance.

MICROBIOME

The gut microbiome plays a vital role in influencing genetic expression and can even impact inherited genetic traits over time. The majority of the body's beneficial bacteria reside in the gut, where they support digestion, synthesize essential vitamins and amino acids, and regulate immune function. A balanced microbiome is crucial for optimal health, metabolic efficiency, and long-term well-being.

NUTRIGENOMICS

This is the study of how genes respond to nutritional intake, examining the ways in which nutrients and bioactive food compounds influence DNA transcription and translation. By using advanced molecular tools, this field identifies how dietary components affect gene expression and regulate key metabolic pathways, ultimately shaping overall health, disease risk, and physiological function.

MITOCHONDRIA

These are often referred to as the powerhouse of the cell, as they are responsible for producing the energy necessary for vital biological functions. They play a crucial role in metabolism, energy production, and overall cellular health. The energy generated by mitochondria, in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP), fuels essential processes such as muscle contractions, enzyme production, and hormone synthesis, supporting optimal physiological function and overall well-being.
